What irks me more each day is our predictable response to issues that impact us: more of the same, following the same people and party that led us here. 4 years after Ferguson black leaders are campaigning for Claire McCaskill, senator who rallied the DOJ to end the investigation into the murder of Michael Brown… in the County Exec race they’re supporting establishment white candidates instead of running black candidates who have the black community’s best interest at heart… this after splitting the black in St. Louis’ mayoral race which allowed Lyda Krewson to waltz her way into city hall. Bob McCulloch the county prosecutor who allowed Darren Wilson to walk is running virtually unopposed with token opposition. For the 2nd time since Ferguson. Protesters turned elected leaders have been assimilated into the white establishment Democratic machine, caping for everything from the passage of Prop P to the re-election Claire McCaskill . Every single issue negatively impacting black people in the region today has roots and can be traced to the complicity, tail tucking or ain’t shitness of black misleadership. The same is true at the national and state levels.
