We have our work cut out. A LOT of bases to cover… starting with unapologetic black media, a means to inform/educate our masses and to counter propaganda and false narratives. And stop allowing mainstream media to exploit/profit from shaping our stories and tug at our emotions… last week alone “Surviving R. Kelly” set record viewership for Lifetime. Trust, based on our views, we will be seeing series about Cosby and other prominent black men, the posterboys of #MeToo. We won’t see series about the Catholic Church, Harvey Weinstein or Woody Allen. To talk about this is not excusing, its to expose the exploitation and contradictions… and to show how those outside our community are able to push/exploit emotional triggers. This is bigger than R. Kelly.
