We are living in a post Ferguson world. Those who weren’t down, didn’t support or see it coming keep trying to define the narrative, anoint leaders/spokesnegros and have us living vicariously though tokens/symbols/celebrity while diminishing authentic grassroots voices like mine and the late Darren Seals and Erica Garner. The Ferguson Effect wasn’t about police officers being afraid to do their jobs, the Ferguson Effect was the spark for everything you see/seen happening, everything we experienced since… ripple effects from what we started down to demands for tangibles, Trump protests, NFL protest, even running black activists/protesters & progressives. All have roots in our movement.
