#REPOST... We are not ready. Many of our elders, elected leaders and spokesnegros have not learned... For 50+ years they been pushing the same failed strategies and offer no path or avenue to change. Name ONE THING the CBC has done to advance the plight of black people?
What does that say about those of us who continue to follow when we know by experience exactly where this dead end road goes?
This video chimes in on our constant need to 'one up' the white establishment and racists... WE GON MAKE THEM treat us right, MAKE THEM take our money... THAT'LL SHOW THEM, when again, experience has shown us. They're not like their Democratic counterparts. They will tell/show you to your face. You're not gonna MAKE THEM do shit especially when you don't have any means of enforcement.
Imagine if we put all the energy we put into boycotts, chasing shallow 'feel good' victories and trying to MAKE white folks do into doing us... building our own, keeping the money we break our necks to give those who hate us in our own communities? Every other community does or strives for this except us. We would rather throw our money at those who hate, subject ourselves to police being called on us or worse being attacked, then acting like suffering through it all is a win, thinking yeah we showed them. The question is showed them what? That we will fight to force them to take our money? Fight to feel validated? How is this a win when everything we do benefits those outside our community. When are we gonna start doing things that benefit us?
