New “Mother’s Ode” Code of Culture #FreeEmAll
Today is my nieces and nephews 2nd Mothers Day without their mother (my sister) and my 4th without my Mom. Love and miss you both and as promised, I got them. Rest! ❤️
Fam, we got to get over being so impressed with the symbolism of “1st blacks”/illusion of “black representation” and thinking our power comes from them, our excessive need to one up whiteness (to the point we can’t do what we need to do because we’re sooo fixated on what they’re doing instead of using that energy to build/support those building outside whiteness) and sticking with what is detrimental/not working because doing so irritates white people. Old black politics is not a plan for black progression. New black politics is based on results and tangibles.
