Next Post Still hard to believe it’s been 5 YEARS. 5 years since the murder of Mike Brown and the Ferguson Uprising and very little, if any substantive change. When I talk about Ferguson, I’m talking about the ENTIRE region, not just Ferguson the municipality. The uprising was about conditions imposed upon black people throughout the entire region (St. Louis, St. Louis County and it’s 90 municipalities). Not just in Ferguson. Solutions will need to impact the entire region, not just Ferguson. We need change throughout the region. Not just Ferguson. The murder of Michael Brown was the straw that broke the camel’s back. But here’s the secret, “there’s a million other straws underneath it”.
