These black politicians are even more problematic… “I don’t think any black politician is our “chosen”. Politicians usually tend to advance the interests of those who have the economic base to line their pockets and help keep them in office through filling their campaign coffers. That is why a people cannot have political power without economic power. Two black politicians who I feel advanced policies in the best interests of their predominantly black constituencies interests first are Cynthia McKinney and Adam Clayton Powell, Jr. I feel that most of these black elected officials have not governed to advance the interests of black and poor people first. They have been chosen to continue to govern how our oppressors have governed and has costed us and continues to cost us.” – Adolfo Minka
