They don’t want us questioning, challenging, informing, asking about the money or rating their job performance.. they just want us to cheer.

Previous Post When it comes time to put critical information out or put wrongdoing and wrongdoers on blast cats cry because mainstream media ain’t trying to give them a platform and ‘black but not black owned media’ won’t touch them with a 10 foot pole. Then they wanna turn to people like me. Lost count of how many folks talked shit/did not support about my calls to build our own media platform or for transparency and accountability only to be all up in my steez after the train jumped off the tracks for them. Suddenly they ‘get it’… yet still ain’t trying to fund it. They only get at us when they want something, if white media was fucking with them, they would never give us a 2nd look. This is the ‘relationship’ most black progressives, activists, protesters, etc have with unapologetic black media. Their white counterparts have no problem funding their outlets… from Breitbart to Young Turks. This is why they have so many and we hardly have any.

Darren Seals and I warned about Deray and his ilk as far back as 2014. Had St Louis’ black activist community listened instead of throwing our movement under the bus in order to ride his coattails into the Democratic Party and NPIC he would be a non factor today. A lot of these negroes would be nonfactors. Instead we empowered them and this is one of the ways they’re being used against us.
