The biggest mistake? Embracing identity politics. Not recognizing how anointed/self anointed black faces / black celebrity are used against us by the Democrat Party, NPIC, in the media, in the black clergy and in this movement. New black media exposed it all… starting with handsupdontshoot.com calling it out during Ferguson… 5 years later people are starting to wake up to this at the national level which is why Kamala Harris’ campaign failed and Cory Booker’s failed to pick up traction. Yet the exact opposite in St. Louis: the black vote split to usher in a white establishhment Democrat, the inexperienced/unqualified black candidates propped up by white progressives, black chief and public safety director both caping for law enforcement and where our movement is no longer led/controlled by the black grassroots or includes the masses who took to the streets but by white orgs, black politicians, prosecutors, black clergy and black faced orgs… all dependent on the system. “You can cuss out colonialism, imperialism, and all other kinds of ism, but it’s hard for you to cuss that dollarism. When they drop those dollars on you, your soul goes.” – Malcolm X
