St. Louis is a city of missed opportunities. 4 1/4 years ago the region was given a choice, change or continue the downward spiral and race to the bottom. Regional leadership chose the latter. Black leaders, professional activists, prominent protesters who never built anything independent of government funding were torn between being on the state payroll, being reliant on grants OR fighting for black people… they chose the money, access and more comforts for themselves while pretending to fight for black people. There was a time when that worked. When all it took was stunting, hooting & hollaring and showing out to deflect from their traitorous behavior and failures. Black media didn’t check them. Black people did not have a mechanism to check them. Until now. And they hate it.
