Sometimes you gotta fall back and let people do what they do… Can’t save everybody. And we can’t spend the majority of our time ‘increasing awareness’, trying to sway opinions or change hearts & minds… At some point we have to put in the actual work and build… to re-access and learn from our mistakes. At some point we have to let go of symbolic/token representation and what does not work and see, REALLY SEE the black misleadership/gatekeeper/overseer class for what it is and deal with it accordingly. Ditto for the Democrat Party, ‘corporate activism’ and the nonprofit industrial complex. Ditto for controlled opposition. Ditto for those who try to play both ends against the middle, who claim to be down for the struggle while embracing identity politics and still seeking validation and comforts within the system. Ditto for those who have the ‘best intentions’ yet act without thinking of consequence… And those who lack vision, black political/revolutionary education and/or critical analysis skills. Failure to re-access keeps us stagnant, repeating the same cycles & mistakes… and suffering the same, if not worse consequences.
