They have no answers... and the city offers no support to anyone in the streets working to make a difference.. I know from first hand experience working with Jihad Hassan Muhammad and James W. Muhammad `at Dynasty Hip Hop Mentoring Program, stlhiphop and others investing in young people in the region on our own dime... We were in these streets, in their ears, in their faces, channeling the anger by providing outlets for expression... because of love, not grants. Young people know the difference. Not only did we get ZERO support from the powers that be, our ideas were stolen and used to hustle grants... the white establishment Dem machine ignored our efforts despite the fact they were working. Black leaders stunted at our functions, expressed a lot of fake outrage then did absolutely nothing.
Dynasty ultimately moved to Dallas where it was embraced by black radio, tv, newspapers and artists. Here is a sampling of the love it got there from Kendrick Lamar, Tech N9ne, Rick Ross, Erykah Badu, Steve Harvey and others.
