Most black folks have never build anything and have no idea of what building looks like. They think building is simply the act of doing… and looking good in the process. More emphasis is placed on cosmetics and ‘look at me’ than on foundation and a longterm plan for growth and development.
Amazon, Google, Yahoo and Facebook were started in dorm rooms, garages, bedrooms and basements… It took years for them to peak. We have black techies following the same models building the platforms we need to compete but because they are in the basement/garage stages they don’t get support. They are considered failures.
We have black and white opportunists trying to fill a void, throwing shit up, trying to make it look good. All style and no substance meant to capitalize on the moment. THAT we will support. And when it collapses, we’ll say “See, we tried”.
