Morning fam… lots of activity. Do not be fooled. Everything is political. Be very wary of failed leaders trying to reinvent themselves and step out in front of the crisis. They didn’t wake up and suddenly ‘get it’. If they ‘got’ anything, it’s the realization they have been exposed, that being bought by Bloomberg, their support of candidates who are against black progression, of a party built on antiblackness and reaction/lack of action in response to the virus has pulled back the curtain back. People see. And ‘get’ that any black or blue won’t do, that nobody’s coming to save us and if we don’t start the process of building our own systems and institutions today, we may survive the virus only to come out it having to deal with a widened wealth gap and a median black household wealth of zero. One $1200 stimulus check will not change that.
