Elliot is on point in this case...
"Circuit Attorney Gardner has pushed this case even though she admits her office was down 7 prosecuting attorneys who have left and who she’s struggling to replace. Gardner’s attention was focused on Greitens, along with at least $100,000 of your tax dollars.
Meanwhile just before filing the case against Greitens Gardner was pleading with the Board of Aldermen for $390,000 to pay for victims services and witness protection programs. She told the Board she didn’t have enough money.
Worst of all is that while Gardner pursued Greitens the murders here continued to mount. Many Police officers lost confidence in her office saying it was harder to get warrants on criminal suspects to keep them behind bars.
The Public Defender weighed in saying It was taking to long to get information from
The Circuit Attorney that they were entitled to in Order to take some cases to trial. That meant some inmates were locked up in the Workhouse longer than necessary because the Public Defenders couldn’t get cases to trail."
