Most black people have never built anything from the ground up, so they don’t know what the process looks like. We’re used to seeing the final launch or product, not all the setbacks, trial and errors, ‘having to revamp and start over’ that takes place… sometimes for years, even decades before success is achieved. This is why a lot of us don’t support our own… because we see them going through the process and immediately think FAILURE.
