More of the same thinking that got us in this situation…<br><br>Throwing money at an out-of-town org that has no vested interest in the community is not the solution. Continuing to throw good money after bad at Better Family Life is not the solution. More police is not the solution… especially when over of our officers have been named in a police brutality lawsuit. St. Louis spends over 1/2 its budget on law enforcement… over $200 million a year at the expense of social services, community resources, schools… and a decent living wage… for years. And what do we have to show for it? Every year high crime, most violent, most dangerous murder capital and City Hall and police department at war with the community. For this we’re paying over $200 million a year. We can be all that for free.
