A 100% turnover rate at her office without a plan to replace prosecutors who left has resulted in murderers getting sweet plea deals, even cases being dropped on the eve of trial. Low incarceration rates that stem from refusing to prosecute cases and dropping cases thus allowing violent criminals to remain free has increased the crime rate. Children are getting shot. School buses are getting caught in the crossfire. 79 year olds are being yanked out their cars. Commuters are being shot on the highways. Bodies thrown out of trucks. Victims are not getting justice. Widening the riff between her office and the police puts the community at greater risk. Her lawsuit is a defense attorney’s wet dream. Defense attorneys will use Gardner’s lawsuit to discredit police. Its a get out of jail free card that will put even more violent offenders back on the street. These were issues before Kim Gardner took office. She was voted in to improve these issues not exacerbate them. It’s one thing when Kim Gardner or any elected official act without looking at the consequences to the community, its another when black leaders, clergy, community leaders and movement leaders cosign their actions without looking at foreseeable consequences and how these actions will impact those they claim to serve. This is what happens when your leaders are on their payroll.
