They will say “It begins in the home”… bad management doesn’t begin in the home. Lack of books and resources doesn’t begin in the home. Lead in school water fountains doesn’t begin in the home. Diverting millions of dollars that should go to black schools into busing black children to suburban schools and charter schools doesn’t begin in the home. Let’s talk about what does begin in the home… the reaction to living in a toxic environment created by generations of disastrous Democrat policies… living the consequences: parents working 2 or 3 jobs yet still living in poverty, being locked up due to mass incarceration/predatory practices exposed in the DOJ/Ferguson Commission reports or self medicating as a form of escapism, and trying to focus on school while having to maneuver through a warzone, worrying about being a victim of crime or shot and killed by police.
