I was one of literally a handful of black people in the region who openly spoke out against electing Hillary and the reelection of Claire McCaskill. There weren’t many of us, we weren’t bankrolled and we did not have the support of black leaders or the movement…. but we had the eyes and ears of Gen Xers, millennials and the streets… all of which stayed home. The result, “black voters made up a smaller share of the state’s overall electorate…”<br><br>We were successful in 2016 and 2018. Both lost. And we have the numbers to do it again in 2020. Keep thinking it’s a game.
