I don’t think ‘the vote’ or threats to vote people out of office will make a diff at all… at least not anytime soon. People underestimate the NRA, they’re more powerful than big tobacco… memba how they won case after case despite smoking causing cancer? The NRA is big tobacco on steroids… they have an amendment they can exploit…. y’all know how white folks are about amendments, the same way they are about commandments. This is why law enforcement loses against the NRA. Memba Micah Johnson, the Dallas police shooter? He was armed with a Saiga AK-74. This gun is still for sale, I just googled it. If they didn’t ban this weapon after law enforcement officers were killed (keep in mind they face these types of weapons every day) do you really think they’re gonna ban them because of a mass school shooting every now and then? At best we may see a few payouts, the result of lawsuits… I say maybe because they don’t hold gun manufacturers responsible for their product. Look at all the hype since Parkland. The NRA hasn’t even flinched.
