Every day Donald Trump shows us the power of the presidency and every day Obama apologists defend him, asking what if anything, could he have done...
For a man that ran on “Yes we can”, when it came to black people his answer was always “No we can’t”, how he wasn’t he president of black America, how he would, but is hands were tied and how we should be patient, America wasn’t perfect, but, but, but look at Jay Z and Beyonce…. all while Ferguson went up in flames, while Baltimore erupted, while Baton Rogue experienced an uprising and a flood, while black people in Chicago found themselves in the scope and black people in Flint were suffering from lack of the most basic human right clean water. That is the legacy of the first black President. And he had the audacity to ask black people to protect it.
Obama’s indifference, neglect and willingness to mislead, deflect, exploit black people, publicly chastise and community shame set the tone for Democrats, black leaders, movement leaders and nonprofits we’re dealing with today.
