Dems are trying to rally the masses for the midterms, progressives and Democratic Socialists are trying to distance themselves from the party but the reality is, it won’t matter. Even if ever single incumbent was unseated that would not change ‘the system’… Yes, incumbents have to go, but that’s only 1 part of the equation. Progressives and incumbents ignore the other equally, if not more important parts… you have to an an independent apparatus working independent of the Democratic Party that will hold new candidates accountable… and you have to have independent media in place that will speak to the masses… they have neither. They’re not trying to build either… they’re still caught up in individualism and personality, the same approach Bernie used that ended with the party conspiring against him, media pundits cheating for Hilliary and ultimately him deferring to Hillary and folding like wet tissue.
