Blacks as a group are a relatively young voting block. We were never taught to build our own party, we never learned how to weaponize our votes. We were simply assimilated into the 2 dominant parties, both built off Amerikkkan capitalism, the exploitation of black people, which the first commodity was black slaves. We embraced both the political and economic systems built on our demise. Fast forward to today, we’re still following the same failed blueprint and parties, neither of which has strayed from their original roots. 2019 we’re still picking our poison, still being exploited, still voting for the ‘lessor of evils’, for candidates who call us predators and parties responsible for the destruction of the black family and black communities. The only difference is now instead of white faces, the oppressor uses black faces and calls it diversity.
