3 main takeaways from my rant today… 1. The sad reality about celeb activism… is despite everything, not one has hopped off the plantation, is advocating we do anything different or create our own alternatives. For all the hype about Kaep, he didn’t even hop off. He never called for a boycott of the NFL. Or for black players to create their own league. If a team decided to sign him today, he would probably sign despite the NFL’s new policy. 2. The opposition is winning in the media and in the court of public opinion… because they control the narrative. They control our narrative. Our leaders. Our celebs & athletes and most important ‘black but not black owned’ media fronting as black media. 3. Malcolm warned about this over 50 years ago when media was limited to a handful of television stations, radio stations and newspapers. Today media consists of hundreds of television stations, thousands of radio stations and news outlets as well as social media. We own very little of it. We still allow them to control our narrative. And stay wondering why we’re losing.
