2019 and black churches getting torched, firebombed or set ablaze is still an issue. Let’s remove fear and emotion from the equation and start looking at this in practical terms since this is obviously something that’s not going away any time soon. Let’s not pretend the US doesn’t have an ugly history that includes burning black churches. And let’s not pretend there aren’t those who will exploit that history. Yes, even black folks.
Do these churches have cameras? Their own 24 hour security? Are they insured? There is no reason giving all the money the black church takes in that they don’t have security systems or 24 hour security.
As for the investigation… The FBI warned years ago about white nationalists infiltrating law enforcement. Knowing this, how long are we gonna complain about these bs investigations that ignore the infestation of white nationalism in law enforcement before we build our own investigative apparatus to investigate these fires, officer involved shootings, stand your ground murders?
Those you think would be on the forefront, rallying and funding this endeavor like BLM, the black church and families of victims that received huge settlements are missing in action.
