At least 6 countries reimposed lockdown measures as new coronavirus cases flared up again. Here’s what they looked like.

China, Germany, Iran, South Korea, Lebanon, and Saudi Arabia all reimposed partial new measures after discovering a spike in infections.

Next Post Final thoughts on the reopening… today (hopefully)… and no, I don’t want to debate, We don’t HAVE to reopen. Reopening without a plan, adequate supplies or a vaccine is not just foolish, its dangerous. To people who say what about the flu or sars or insert whatever virus with the exception of the Spanish flu… to those I say, the mere fact that those viruses didn’t prompt this type of response should be the first clue that maybe this is different. I’ma keep it simple. The only stats that matter at this point are infected and dead. Even if someone recovers from the sympthoms they still had the virus in their system, no one knows the lingering affects. What does that look like a year from now? Are they still alive? Will they be healthy? What about babies born infected? There is still so much we don’t know. What are the ripple effects? What about more contagious and deadly strains? What happens when our healthcare system crashes under the pressure? Reopening is premature and could backfire with cataclysmic type consequence. This is bigger than the economy, not visa versa. You can recover from a bad economy. Once you’re dead, you’re dead.
